[ stares at computer and gently. pushes the button to start it up. as it whirs, his eyes widen just a little bit. ]
What's this? [ he's already sitting down but there are other chairs that can probably be dragged over as he sort of tries to figure out how to. use this. please help him he's dnd. ]
Possibly... [ he'll beep boop around on it for a moment until the screen opens up to a serene i guess desktop fitting their weird apartment's classy aesthetic. of course, what else is here? he picks up the mouse and kind of adjusts his glasses so the secondary lenses slot downwards.
the little arrow on screen moves when he touches the bottom of it but ofc he doesn't see that so. probably best he has a second pair of eyes. ]
[hi, we all live together so they get the courtesy of a group text:]
As discussed in the message sent out earlier please take caution in going anywhere alone and request assistance if need be we have already seen that matters have taken a turn for the more dangerous this week and there is no certainty of safety at this juncture keep an eye out as well for anything that seems more odd than usual for the prism
[i have to linebreak for my own sanity. assume he stopped talking long enough for it to default to a new message.]
The closet was difficult to reach ultimately inaccessible and smelled of smoke if you come across anything similar or if you have noted any other strange things this week which have not been discussed I ask that you make mention of them
Do any of you know if he was in the medical bay? He told me he was going to stay there because of his injuries but I don't know if he was there overnight or not
The entrance stretched far longer than it should as if we were being kept from reaching the closet itself we were eventually able to approach but while we smelled smoke we still were unable to enter
Strange... well, thank you for the warning. This place has proven itself untrustworthy once again.
Probably best to keep track of these particular occurrences. Especially the entire being trapped in one room over night incidents. Not a trick I want to see again.
Was your phone also incapable of sending messages last night?
Mayhap he did however I was unfortunately trapped elsewhere and cannot say for certain nor did anyone else make mention of where they meant to be I expect none of us anticipated being unable to leave
Either something went wrong with them or given that these devices no longer worked at the time there may have been a larger problem than merely the archways
[Oh, looks like everyone in the Crystalline apartment has a message from November!]
Come back to the apartment. I have something Prism-related to talk about.
[And indeed, the first thing one sees upon arrival is November typing some sort of message into a word processor file. Right to his sides there are three chairs. Looks like he really wants to have a talk with everybody]
If it proves factual. I prefer to bear in mind that if this prism has a tendency to offer what it thinks we need... 'tis entirely possible we would be provided things such as this because we think they ought to exist, in one way or another.
[he's not one to believe things immediately, but-- it certainly is fascinating, isn't it.]
This would not be a message to those currently present, at any rate. 'Only the few of us, yet all a different shade on the spectrum'; a smaller group without multiples assigned one color such as we have, mayhap.
[...something about that certainly has him thinking, brow furrowed in a frown, but he doesn't say it just yet.]
It'd be a group with, at most, eight people. Or it could be less than that.
[Hm...]
The residents we know all have a different color. It's possible those four are what's left of a past group, with several others having perished at some point.
[Especially if the theory that those four used to be human is true]

[squinting at it over his shoulder...]
The interfaces on these are all quite strange, however.
[why isn't it like. crystals and projections and voice commands damn.]

she walks over. watches this happen. looks around. looks back at them. ]
It's a computer?
no subject
[grumbling about it... none of the tech design here is good.]
But if you are familiar with this device, then what precisely are its capabilities?

[Because, you know, he's a squishy and very much normal person]
If he did go after all perhaps he saw something.

Week 2 -- Wednesday Night

What is it?

Danny, Kumon and I found this note in Party City. I don't have the original note -- Danny has it -- so this is a word for word recreation of it.
[Thank goodness for Contractors having an excellent mind for this stuff]
I imagine we all can agree this can be quite meaningful.
