[ percy nods, his gaze trails the horizon briefly before he takes off his glasses, rubbing at his eyes hard with a leather glove. ]

The disbelief hasn't left me either. It feels unreal. [ softer: ] I'm already tired of condemning people to death. Done it enough back home, don't need to do it more.
I hate saying it... but we'll just have to wait and see what the clues say. Gather everything we can. We must try our hardest, for Buzen and for 9S.
[ percy would like to hope that 9S is alive, that maybe they'll find him, but he's far too pragmatic to err on the side of optimism in that respect, not in a place like this. ]
