I guess the same thing you are. There's not really much else to do around here... Though books are kind of cumbersome to deal with. Is this really how people used to store all their records?

That I knew of, really. We didn't have these phones either... [ he moves to bring his books to a couch finally and just. sit them there for a moment, shaking out a hand. ] The technology here is incredible, nothing like what I'm used to.

We make do in other ways back home, mostly by magical means.

Magic, huh? I still don't know a lot about that. So it's something you'd use in place of science?

You can utilize both in tandem, if you truly want, though I don't use it very often myself. One of my old rifles used to fire off a round of magic bullets. For ice or fire.

No magic where you're from at all?

I don't know. Some old records made mention of magical weapons being utilized once, a long time ago, but...

If there's any around, I've never seen it.
