It doesn't seem like the zombies are very... antagonistic at least? A small comfort considering they live in the mansion.

I guess given the fact that the mansion’s so wrecked, it makes sense the things living there are also dead.

Makes me wonder if it's very safe to sleep there...

The one I had did try to chew on me a couple of times... though it stopped when I started speaking to it. Which means at the very least they seem to somewhat understand us?

There are worse places you could take a nap. In the arms of clowns, as an alternative example…

Unfortunately. They're not all that uncommon when necromancers are around and about.

Necromancers... they're... [ a wave of the hand ] those capable of magic with an affinity for death and dead things.

So like.... raising things from the dead and... what. Getting them to throw their limbs around?

Essentially. Their numbers tend to make them such a problem. Alone, they're fragile but en masse it's nigh unmanageable. Not to mention they can make nearly anything undead fall to their whims. Undead animals, undead giants... a pain, really.

I'm sure if the caster were strong enough, then that would be a likely possibility...

Believe me, I do as well. The undead are really only vulnerable to holy items or holy light, so... it's hard to come by unless you have a friend in the business of being a cleric.

That sounds super cliche. It’s dead, so it must be weak to [ his voice does a little dramatic flair ] holy light, for the dead are not of this world ergo are impure and must be defeated!

… But I guess if they’re charging for your brains, then that’s a fair point.
