We have something like that where I'm from, but they're imbued with magic. Putting wheels on shoes is rather brilliant if you want to speed along. And to have a compartment that they come out from means you won't have to be stuck rolling.
We have to make up for our sad lack of magic somehow! So, do you think you could recreate them here? I was thinking they could be pretty fun, not to mention totally useful if the monsters come back around!
